About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly product-minded Senior Frontend Engineer to help build the next generation of their financial platform. As one of the first engineering hires, you will own the user experience across web and mobile, working directly with our client‘s founders to build a polished, scalable product from zero to one. The ideal candidate has shipped production React Native/Expo applications that deliver exceptional user experiences and has enough backend knowledge to collaborate on end-to-end product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Build high-quality web and mobile applications using React, React Native, and Expo.
- Own frontend architecture and establish scalable engineering standards.
- Deliver polished, performant, and intuitive user experiences.
- Collaborate with founders, product, and design to translate business needs into product features.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and contribute to end-to-end feature delivery.
- Help define engineering best practices, testing strategies, and development processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in React, React Native, Expo, and TypeScript.
- Working knowledge of Rust.
- Experience shipping production mobile apps with excellent UI/UX.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and performance optimization.
- Working knowledge of backend development and REST APIs.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments.
- Advanced English communication skills (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- Fintech, banking, payments, or regulated industry experience.
- Experience with onboarding, identity verification, and financial workflows.
- Experience with Expo EAS, push notifications, deep linking, accessibility, and animations.
- Familiarity with AWS and cloud deployments.
