About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly autonomous, product-minded Full-Stack Developer to help build the core platform from zero to one. As one of the first technical hires, this person will have significant ownership over both the product experience and the engineering foundation.
This role requires a strong full-stack engineer capable of leading frontend and mobile development using React and React Native, while also architecting highly secure, reliable, and heavily audited backend systems using Go or Rust for regulated financial workflows.
The ideal candidate thrives in early-stage environments, enjoys solving ambiguous problems end-to-end, and is motivated by ownership, speed, and long-term technical impact.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Development
- Build the core platform from the ground up, including onboarding flows, account management experiences, payout workflows, and internal administrative tools.
- Develop scalable frontend and mobile applications using React and React Native.
- Architect and implement high-performance backend systems using Go or Rust.
Backend & Infrastructure
- Design secure, concurrent, and reliable backend services for regulated financial operations, including identity verification, account state management, money movement, and audit logging.
- Establish engineering best practices around security, observability, testing, monitoring, and compliance readiness.
- Make foundational architecture decisions that support scalability, resilience, and long-term maintainability.
- Collaborate on integrations with banks, insurers, payment processors, and financial infrastructure providers.
Product & Collaboration
- Work closely with founders, customers, and stakeholders to understand operational pain points and translate them into scalable product solutions.
- Participate in customer conversations to better understand real-world financial workflows and user needs.
- Contribute to defining the technical culture, engineering standards, and development processes of the company.
Requirements
Technical Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building and scaling production-grade full-stack applications.
- Strong backend engineering expertise using Go or Rust.
- Advanced frontend and mobile development experience with React and React Native.
- Experience designing secure, reliable systems handling sensitive information, financial data, or regulated workflows.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, APIs, and backend architecture.

- Experience in fintech, insurance, banking, payments, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with KYC/KYB processes, ACH, wire transfers, reconciliation systems, and banking integrations.
- Experience building enterprise-grade platforms with SOC 2, auditability, permissions, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with AWS, infrastructure-as-code, cloud security, and production operations.
