About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to work across multiple teams, ensuring high data quality and the timely delivery of software with minimal defects. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with SaaS platforms and modern quality assurance practices, including agentic and self-healing testing strategies. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, product, marketing, and sales teams to maintain platform stability, scalability, and performance.
Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Develop and execute comprehensive manual and automated testing strategies.
- Build and maintain end-to-end testing frameworks.
- Design testing protocols that maximize automation while ensuring software quality.
- Manage sprint-to-sprint QA activities to ensure minimal-defect releases.
- Perform API testing and validation across services.
- Work alongside engineering teams to improve overall software quality.
Platform & Data Quality
- Gain a deep understanding of the customer-facing platform, supporting tools, and data pipeline.
- Collaborate with data engineers to implement validation tools for data quality.
- Develop monitoring strategies that maximize uptime, reliability, and responsiveness.
- Support DevOps initiatives to achieve stable, zero-downtime deployments where applicable.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with development, marketing, and sales teams to ensure product usability, platform reliability, and successful feature delivery.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation for evolving systems and processes.
- Work effectively across modern and legacy technologies in a collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of QA experience working with SaaS platforms.
- 3+ years of experience with PHP, Python, and JavaScript, including the ability to write unit tests.
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD platforms such as CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- 3+ years of experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience configuring and deploying Docker images.
- Experience using end-to-end testing frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright.
- Experience performing API testing with tools such as Postman, Newman, or PactumJS.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
- Exposure to Elasticsearch.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience with Cypress.
- Experience implementing AI-powered solutions within QA pipelines.
- Experience with traffic analysis and SEO.
- Familiarity with data validation tools such as Great Expectations or Soda Core.
- Knowledge of software license compliance, security monitoring, and patch management.
- Exposure to big data platforms.
- Previous startup experience.
