Job: Fullstack React Engineer

Our client is looking for a self-sufficient Engineer who will be the key engineering owner of their Merchant-facing product as well as be an accountable & communicative partner and drive fast delivery. This is a high-output role in building Plaid for SMBs.

What You Will Do:

In this role, you will be a key part of the team and responsible for the Small Business Owner Application. You will partner with their Product, Design, and Engineering teams to ensure rapid and successful feature delivery in a fast-paced startup environment. You will be accountable and rewarded for your speed & ability to deliver stable features quickly. This is a high-impact role in a venture-backed startup that is rapidly changing the SMB compliance world.

Who You Are:

• Strong experience (4 years+) in frontend + backend development and working with APIs
• Expertise in React (e.g., Next.js) and database technologies (PostgreSQL)
• Experience with Node.js; ability to navigate and optimize existing Node.js applications is highly regarded
• Knowledge of modern web development tools and frameworks
• Excellent problem-solving skills, detail-oriented mindset, and effective team collaboration ability
• Able to work in US time zones for collaboration with a California-based team
• Strong communication abilities

Bonus Points if You:

• Have familiarity with deployment and development workflows using Vercel or similar platforms
• Have experience working with Nx and similar frameworks
• Experience with Figma & design systems. User experience is a core focus of the company
• Experience with the Modern Data Stack, Accounting and Finance Platform, and/or experience working with FinTech platforms/financial data
