Our client is dedicated to developing perception and prediction software for sidewalk autonomy. Their mission is to create a friendly sidewalk delivery robot that helps make deliveries faster, cheaper, and more sustainable while reducing street congestion.
About the Role:
Our client is looking for a Senior ML Engineer, Robotics / Computer Vision to tackle technical challenges in sidewalk autonomy, including perception, prediction, and other innovative machine learning tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Work on embedded AI to build a foundational model for vision, language, and action.
- Design, train, and deploy learning-based perception models for on-robot perception systems.
- Collaborate with ML infrastructure engineers to assess and monitor model performance.
- Produce high-quality code, participate in code reviews, and share knowledge with the team.
- Work with SQL queries and ETL logic for data ingestion.
- Collaborate with various teams to understand real-world problems and define tasks for ML products.
Requirements:
- Advanced English proficiency.
- MS/PhD in Computer Science with a focus on ML/DL, Robotics, or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in training and deploying ML models into production and maintaining their lifecycle.
- Deep understanding of basic concepts in computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Experience with multiple sensors such as Lidar, mono/stereo cameras, IMU, etc.
- 5 years of experience in the general field of machine learning or computer vision.
Qualifications:
- MS/PhD in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
- Practical experience in implementing and maintaining ML models.
- Programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Deep knowledge of computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning.
- Experience with multiple sensors.
Bonus Points:
- Publications in top conferences or journals such as CVPR, NeurIPS, ICCV, TPAMI, TRO, etc.
- Experience tackling robotics and computer vision challenges in at least two of the following domains: multi-sensor feature extraction and fusion, object detection and tracking, 3D estimation, and embedded AI with Transformer-based models.
- Familiarity with deploying perception stacks on edge devices and experience with NVIDIA software libraries such as CUDA or TensorRT.
- Open-source project contributions.
- Experience with GCP or AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
